Dormitory rent
For students residing in New East dormitory (the common residence for the students in this program) the monthly rent is 1,270 NIS . Dormitory payments and amounts due for the previous month's electricity and water bills will transfer to Technion from the student's bank account (as authorized by the student to debit) on the 10th day of each month.
From the academic year 2023-2024 the rental will be 33% higher than the rent base rate for the current year.
Tuition- Full international program
The students studying at the international school for a degree have the same rights and obligations as the local students studying at Technion.
The tuition for an academic year at the international school is paid in NIS and equals to $15,000 ,plus other fees. Students studying in the existing continuing international program will pay according to the details attached in the file- Payments Regulations 2025-2026

The student fees (campus security, welfare services and student union) for all the academic year are 1203 NIS (719 NIS for the winter semester and 484 NIS for the spring semester)

Explanation of Additional Fees:
- Welfare Services – The Technion provides various services for students’ well-being (cultural activities, sports services, and personal support services).
- Security – A mandatory payment for campus security services, as determined by the Meltz Committee.
- National Student Union – Under the Students’ Rights Law, only undergraduate and master’s degree students are required to pay 10 NIS per year to the representative national student organization.
- Student Union Membership – An annual payment that grants membership in the Student Union and includes a student ID card. This fee also covers personal accident insurance.
Payment of the Welfare Services Fee and the Student Union Membership Fee is voluntary.
Students who do not wish to receive Welfare Services (item 1) must notify of such in advance by completing the online form each semester. Cancellation is possible up to one month after the start of the semester.

- Tuition Payment Options
- Full Tuition Prepayment by September 14, 2025
Undergraduate students or candidates admitted for the upcoming academic year who pay the full tuition amount in advance by this date are entitled to a 2.5% discount. In this case, no additional indexation differences will be applied to the tuition. However, if the tuition base changes during the year, students will be charged the tuition difference.
Students who would like to pay the full tuition in advance must complete the online form at the following link by September 10, 2025: https://portalex.technion.ac.il/irj/portal/external/CampusMob.
To make an advance tuition payment – go to “My Requests” and select the request type “Student Accounts: Advance Tuition Payment.”
In the Academic Year row, select the current year, and then in the Advance Payment Approval row, select “Yes.”
Then click Submit at the bottom of the page.
After completing the process, you will receive an email with the various payment options – the default option is payment by bank account debit authorization on the upcoming payment date.
If you would like to change this decision, please contact us by email.
Students who have paid their tuition in full through the Soldiers’ Fund until September 10, 2025, are required to submit the request on the portal in order to receive the discount.
Based on the completion of the form, the Technion will collect the tuition fee, minus the discount, by bank account debit authorization on September 14, 2025. (The discount is 300.43 NIS for regular tuition, 405.98 NIS for full tuition, and 375.53 NIS for tourist tuition.)
Alternatively, tuition may be prepaid, minus the discount, by credit card through the online form. This payment is subject to a 0.9% fee.
Please note: the option to prepay tuition with a discount is valid until September 10, 2025. Payments received after this date will not be eligible for the discount.
Students who paid full tuition in advance will be charged on February 14 for the additional fees for the Spring Semester (security and welfare services fees).
Advance payment of the remaining tuition balance during the year: At any payment date, it is possible to pay the remaining balance of tuition in advance for the 2025-2026 academic year, without a discount.

New students beginning their studies in the Spring Semester who pay full tuition for that semester by February 14, 2026, will receive a 1% discount on the semester’s tuition. New students wishing to do so must complete the online form by February 11, 2026 at the following link: https://portalex.technion.ac.il/irj/portal/external/CampusMob.
Advance payment is condition upon the tuition rates being published on time by the Government of Israel.
- Payment of Tuition in Installments
Tuition fees will be linked to the Consumer Price Index, with adjustments calculated according to the timing of the installment payments.

Approximately two weeks before each payment, you will receive an email specifying the amounts to be debited from your bank account and the date on which the debit will be made. Please follow the announcements and check your email regularly.
- English / Physics Studies Requiring Additional Payment
Students whose English proficiency is insufficient and who are required to take preparatory English courses will be charged an additional fee, in addition to the regular tuition. Payment will be collected by bank account debit authorization.
The courses and fees are as follows:
Advanced English A – 10% of the full annual tuition (linked to the Consumer Price Index)
Physics Prerequisite Course – 1,150 NIS
- Late Registration
Any change to course registration made after the official change period set by the Undergraduate Studies Office is subject to a fee of 15 NIS per action, up to a maximum of three actions per day.
No additional fee will apply for actions beyond the first three on the same day.

All students are entitled to receive officially signed documents free of charge during the academic year.
The available documents include:
- Student Status Letter (Hebrew/English)
- Transcript (Hebrew)
- Weekly Class Schedule Confirmation
- Grade Report (final grades only)
- Tuition / Housing Payment Statement
- Dormitory Residency Confirmation
These documents can be obtained on the Students' website.
- Special Documents
Any special document, in Hebrew or English, issued by the Undergraduate Studies Office and/or Student Accounts Department is subject to a fee of 40 NIS.
A student who has outstanding tuition payments will not receive any documents until their payments have been settled.

Students who are late in any tuition payment will be charged indexation differences plus interest of 0.5% per month, calculated according to the number days overdue (arrears).
Payments not made on the dates specified in Section B, Subsection 3 (due to late registration) will also be subject to indexation and interest.
- Housing
Late payment of housing fees will incur interest of 0.5% per month.
Students who owe tuition and/or housing fees will not be able to access online services until the debt is settled.
Students with outstanding tuition from previous years will only be permitted to register at the Technion or create a course schedule after the debt has been paid. If, nevertheless, a student with outstanding debt registers, the Technion reserves the right to terminate the student’s studies or to cease providing academic services, official documents, grades, diplomas, and the like.
Discontinuation of Studies and/or Leave of Absence
A student or applicant who has registered at the Technion and decides, for any reason, not to study in the 2025-2026 academic year must notify in writing:
- New students or applicants should notify the Registration and Admissions Center.
- Returning students should notify the Undergraduate Studies Office.
Tuition Refund/Charge Policy
- New Students
Notification by August 15 (Winter Semester) / December 15 (Spring Semester) entitles the applicant to a full refund of the deposit.
Notification by September 15 (Winter Semester) / January 15 (Spring Semester) entitles the applicant to a refund of half of the deposit.
Notification after September 15 (Winter Semester) / January 15 (Spring Semester) does not entitle the applicant to any refund of the deposit.
Notification after November 25 (Winter Semester) / April 15 (Spring Semester) requires payment of full tuition for the semester, including additional fees.
*Admission Semester: Spring 2025-2026.
- Returning Students
Students who decide to discontinue studies or take a leave of absence must notify the Undergraduate Studies Office in writing no later than the day before the start of the semester. In this case, the student will not be charged tuition, and any amount already paid will be refunded.
If notification is received by November 15 (Winter Semester) / April 15 (Spring Semester), the student will be charged 25% of the semester tuition, without additional fees.
After these dates, the student will be charged full tuition for the semester + additional fees.

Start of 2025-2026 Spring Semester: March 25, 2026
A student who has discontinued studies and has a positive balance in their account will receive the refund directly to their bank account.
A student or applicant who does not provide notification of discontinuation of studies will be considered active until the end of the semester and will be charged full tuition!
